Everyone at alworths is committed to giving first-class customer service - it's a culture that stretches all the way from the stockroom to the boardroom. Most of our people have worked in the High Street all their lives and just about all of our head office team started out on the counters or with a broom in their hands. We never forget who is in charge - you, the customer. We're determined to put customers at the heart of everything we do and spend as much time as possible meeting people and making them welcome.

Don't be surprised when you visit our stores if you find your next door neighbour serving on the till or filling the pic'n'mix. We're proud to employ local people and make it our mission to greet customers by name whenever we can.

We're keen to get your feedback on how we're doing, and here at alworths.com we've included special features to allow you to have your say. Your input plays an important part in how we run the company, and our Founder and MD Andy Latham and Operations Manager Andy Hayzelden review every piece of feedback received personally. In this part of the website there are features to:

• give feedback on the service you received in-store
• nominate a colleague for a star service award - a way of recognising exceptional service 'above and beyond the call'
• tell us what you think of the store and the products and how they can be improved
• nominate a town where you think we should open up next and share your reasons why
